The Lunchbox chief Ritesh Batra will make the film adjustment of Julian Barnes' novel The Sense of an Ending, which will star Oscar winning performer Jim Broadbent.

Julian Barnes' characters are an essential piece of my life and work, and I am all that much anticipating invest energy with them, and with Jim Broadbent whom I have constantly respected," Ritesh said in an announcement.
Mr Broadbent, who won a Best Supporting Actor Oscar for the 2001 film Iris, is well known for his work in Topsy Turvy, Moulin Rouge, Paddington, Cloud Atlas, The Iron Lady and no doubt understood arrangement Harry Potter.
To be shot in Britain not long from now, The Sense of an Ending takes after an account of a resigned man who gets an unforeseen letter from a legal advisor that compels him to defy his own past - and unfulfilling present - including the suicide of his youth closest companion. The film denote the first screenplay by Nick Payne.
FilmNation Entertainment holds overall rights and will co-money the undertaking with BBC Films. Birthplace Pictures' David Thompson and Ed Rubin are makers on the film.
